Rum to the Rescue: Whitby Distillery's Tribute to the RNLI

At Whitby Distillery, we've always believed in the power of community and the importance of giving back to those who keep our shores safe. That's why we're thrilled to share some exciting news with you all!

Recently, we had the incredible honour of presenting a donation to the RNLI, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. As passionate supporters of their noble cause, with Luke Co-Founder of Whitby Distillery being a crew member himself, we knew we had to lend our support in any way we could.

We crafted a deliciously dark spiced rum in collaboration with the RNLI—a true tribute to the sea and those who navigate its depths. With every bottle sold, we pledge to donate 10% to the charity. Each bottle is adorned with the message "FLOAT TO LIVE" and the image of esteemed historic lifeboatman Henry Freeman, making every sip a symbol of support for our courageous lifeboat crews.

But the real heroes of this story are you, our incredible community! Your overwhelming response to our RNLI rum, which launched in July 2024, has been nothing short of inspiring. From coast to coast, you've rallied behind the cause, purchasing bottles, and spreading the word far and wide.

Thanks to your unwavering support, we're thrilled to announce that we've raised an incredible £5000 in just six months since the rum's launch, surpassing our initial goal.

But this is just the beginning of our journey of giving back. With your continued support, we're excited to see where this product takes us next and how we can continue making a difference for the RNLI and our beloved coastal community.
